Joseph Yoon Sub Kim

Having traveled the world intensively and working with one of the best airlines in the world, I know how much hard work and careful thought goes into providing the best personal service in the hospitality industry. This site is my way of documenting everything I have done, learned, and how I see myself developing in the future.

Professional Work Ethic

I approach each challenge with the same enthusiasm, desire to learn, and a positive attitude that is expected in any industry. It is this attitude, combined with my strong skill set and experience, that would make me a valuable addition to any company.

Professional Profile

There are many people who never have the opportunity to pursue the career they love. I was lucky that I found what I love to do. Since starting my career with Singapore Airlines, I have learned so much from travelling and experiencing what the world had to offer. I know that I still have so much to learn and thus pursued my higher education with the best hospitality program in the world with UNLV. I am a hard worker, a team player, and enthusiastic to see how I can apply my skill set in the future.

Internship

MIDAS CONVENTION SERVICES
2019-2020

As required by UNLV's Hospitality Management Program, I took up an internship position with Midas Convention Service in Los Angeles in the Summer of 2019

Midas is a small business company with about 30 employees. The company is based in Gardena, California. Its client portfolio is mostly Korean companies. Midas creates custom booths for those Korean companies that participate in the biggest trade, convention, and exhibition shows in the United States. Shows include MAGIC and CES in Las Vegas. Midas creates everything required in-house, including manufacturing and the graphics used in the customization of  the booths.

I learned the whole project production process from planning,  executeion to creating and producing the booths. The whole internship culminated in the ASD Trade Show that was held in Las Vegas Convention Center on 28th - 31th. Below are some highlights of my internship.
